City Walk around the Old Port

City Walk around the Old Port

Address:
Marseille

The Old Port has been at the center of Marseille for 26 centuries, and today it’s the city’s main tourist attraction and the perfect spot for postcard-worthy pictures! To start your visit, you will receive a warm welcome at the conveniently located restaurant Couleur Grenade, where you can relax on the charming patio. Then, you will head to the Pharo Palace, overlooking the port, where a statue of the resistance fighter Missak Manouchian was erected in 2010 in the garden that bears his name. You will also see the khachkar that was also inaugurated in 2009 at the entrance of the Regional Council of Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur.

A 15-minute walk from the Old Port, you will discover Noailles, a lively neighborhood with its daily colourful market and many shops, including Murat, specialized in Armenian and Middle Eastern foods, as well as Exosud, owned by the Tchakalian brothers.
